RADTAC Plays Key Role in Launch of DSDM Atern

Atern, the latest evolution of the leading agile method from the DSDM Consortium was launched in London on 24 March.

Atern, the latest evolution of the leading agile method from the DSDM Consortium was launched on Tuesday 24th March in London. RADTAC sponsored the event and Peter Measey, RADTAC Practice Director, made a presentation detailing the pre-release pilot of Atern that RADTAC have been performing with an international engineering company on thier major product development lifecycle change programme.

RADTAC has provided Atern consulting and training services to large projects on this programme each with overall project teams of around 30 people. In all RADTAC have already trained nearly 150 people in DSDM Atern.

Atern is the latest evolution of the DSDM method that has been in widespread use since its release in 1994. Owned and supported by the DSDM Consortium and free to use, Atern addresses the requirements of both Project Management and Solution Delivery. The DSDM Consortium (http://www.dsdm.org) continues to operate a Certification and Accreditation system for individuals and organisations that is widely recognised across industry groups, including the British Computer Society. Originally an approach for Rapid Application Development of IT systems, with Atern, DSDM has evolved into an industrial strength Agile method, which may be equally applied to IT or Business Projects.
